We use both first-party cookies, set directly by eLawyers.pk, and, where indicated in Article 3, cookies set by service providers acting on our behalf, such as security-challenge or hosting infrastructure providers.

Strictly necessary. Cookies that maintain your authenticated session, protect forms against cross-site request forgery, support multi-factor authentication flows, and record your cookie-consent choice. These cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.

Functional. Cookies and local storage entries that remember interface preferences, such as dashboard layout, recently viewed listings, or language selection, where you have opted in.

Analytics. Cookies that generate aggregated, privacy-conscious usage statistics — such as page views and feature adoption — to help us improve directory search, verification workflows, and site performance.

Security and abuse prevention. Cookies or tokens associated with CAPTCHA or equivalent challenge providers used on registration, login, and sensitive forms to deter automated abuse.

Certain security-challenge and infrastructure providers we engage to protect the Platform may set cookies necessary for their protective function, such as distinguishing human visitors from automated traffic.

We do not permit third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on the Platform, and we do not share cookie data with advertising networks.

To keep you securely signed in across pages and sessions, and to apply role-based access appropriate to clients, advocates, officers, and administrators.

To detect and mitigate fraudulent registrations, credential stuffing, and other automated abuse of consultation, messaging, and review features.

To remember your cookie-consent choice so that you are not repeatedly prompted, and to remember optional interface preferences you select.

To understand, in aggregate, how the directory, verification, and document features are used, so that we can prioritise improvements.

On your first visit, a consent banner allows you to accept or reject non-essential cookie categories. Strictly necessary cookies are applied regardless of this choice, as they are required for the Platform to function securely.

You may change your cookie preferences at any time through the consent controls available on the Platform, or by clearing cookies through your browser settings, which will re-trigger the consent banner on your next visit.

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies, or to be notified before a cookie is set. Doing so may prevent you from remaining signed in or from using certain security and preference features.

Session cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser. Persistent cookies, such as consent records or “remember me” tokens, remain for a limited period appropriate to their purpose and are refreshed or expire on that schedule.

We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies and similar technologies evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a revised effective or last-updated date, and, where the change affects your choices, the consent banner may be re-presented.
